HOME MINISTRY SLAMS KEJRIWAL’S PLAN TO GIVE FLATS TO ROHINGYAS

NEW DELHI: The Home Ministry on Wednesday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s plan to allot the EWS (economically weaker sections) flats to Rohingyas at Bakkarwala in New Delhi to shift them from Madanpur Khadar here.

In a press note, it said it had not given any directions in this regard since the Rohingyas are illegal foreigners and will have to leave India. It sayd the Home Ministry has already taken up their deportations with the concerned country through the external affairs ministry.

It said the illegal foreigners alike Rohingyas are to be kept in detention centre until their deportation as per law. It directed the Delhi Government to immediately declare their present location as a detention centre.
