NEW DELHI: With the garlic prices shooting beyond Rs 250 a kilo in India, traders have started importing it from China.
A report in the commodity price analysis says 20 containers of garlic have been imported in the first round. The Congress criticised the government for not allowing the farmers to make money in the current season of the prices of the farm produces going up.
The Indian traders are also negotiating purchase of tomatoes and other produces from China, the report said.
