NEW DELHI: On whose advice did PM Modi bring three agriculture and law ? The answer is- on the advice of a businessman running a software company.
Yes, you read B B total correctly. The idea was taken by a businessman running a software company . Not only this, this businessman consulted the Adani Group before giving the idea . That means agriculture to bring law no economist, farmer organization was consulted, force and corporates like Adani Group were consulted.
Remember… PM Modi’s craze to benefit his friends at any cost took the lives of more than 700 people.
The Congress on Thursdsay said the Adani group had played a huge rrole in lobying for the 3 black farm laws was an open secret widely speculated during the farmers’ protest.
Congress general secretary (media) reproduced a story by @shreegireesh confirming it with the documentary evidence.
Here is the chronology:
1. In February 2016, at an election rally in UP, PM announces doubling of farmer incomes by 2022.
2. In April 2016, the Modi government sets up an inter-ministerial committee headed by Ashok Dalwai to work out details of PM’s announcement. This Committee eventually submits 14 volumes.
3. In September 2018, the Dalwai Committee submits its final volume and one of its key recommendations included safeguards for farmers while suggesting amending the Essential Commodities Act:
“It is recommended that conditional exemption from stock limits be optioned to private organisations that procure stock at Minimum Support Price rates directly from farmers, along with exemption from variable export limitations”
4. Meanwhile, by April 2018, Adani has already swung into action, making recommendations to completely for the removal of restrictions on hoarding agricultural commodities, to another committee in the NITI Aayog full of corporate representatives.
5. Post 2019 elections, the Modi government then passes the 3 Farm Ordinances introduces Bill in June 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, which was introduced as laws in September 2020, dropping safeguards for farmers as suggested by Modi government’s own Inter-ministerial Committee.
Under the guise of ‘doubling farmer’s income’ the Modi government’s plan was always to corporatise agriculture and allow the PM’s closest friend to rake in astronomical profits. This is the reality of the Modani scam.
