NEW DELHI: The Health Ministry data shows India is nearing the end of Covid-19 as the daily infections dropped to 4,043 on Tuesday and the active cases are down to 47,379 while there were 15 demises in the past 24 hours.
Six deaths were reconciled in Kerala in the past few days while Maharashra and Haryana reported 2 deaths each in 24 hours and 1 death each in Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. The country’s death toll stood at 5,28,370.
The total infections in the country so far stood at 4,45,43,084 while 4,39,67,340 of them have recovered. Daily positivity rate is down to 1.37% and the weekly rate 1.81%.
The national vaccination stands at 216.83 crore, with 10.10 lakh vaccine doses given in the past 24 hours. The total tests conducted so far stand at 89.20 crore, 2.95 lakh of them conducted in the last 24 hours.
