MURMU HAILS MODI’S DECISIVE GOVT

NEW DELHI: In her first address to Parliament from the Central Hall, perhaps the last before the new Parliament House comes into existence, President Droupadi Murju hails Prime Minister Modi for giving a decisive government in its two terms.

“By 2047, we have to build a nation that will be connected to the pride of the past and which will have all the golden chapters of modernity. We have to build an India that will be ‘Aatmanirbhar’ and capable to fulfill its humanitarian duties,” President Murmu said.

The Budget session of Parliament began Tuesday with the maiden address of the President followed by the presentation of an economic survey by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman. to detail the financial scene of the country in the current financial year.

On February 1, Sitharaman will be tabling the Union Budget for 2023-24, the last annual budget of the Modi government before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
