NEW DELHI: Varanasi Cantonment railway station was on Thursday awarded “Eat Right Station” with a 5-star rating certificate by FSSAI (Food Safety and Standard Authority of India).
The award is given to the railway stations that set the benchmarks in providing safe, hygienic and wholesome food to the passengers.
The certificate is part of the “eat Right India” movement, a large-scale efforts of FSSAI to transform the country’s food system to ensure safe, healthy and sustainable food to all Indians.
Other railway stations that have bagged the star certification are Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Mumbai), Central Railway Station (Mumbai), Vadodara, Bhopal, Chandigarh and Anand Vihar station in Delhi.
