NEW DELHI: Punjab reported 4 deaths in the past 24 hours ending at 8 AM on Tuesday while Delhi had one death. Overall the death count was 1399 due to the past record of 1,347 demises in Assam and 47 in Kerala.
The daily infections dropped slightly on Tuesday to 2,483 while there was also a dip in the active cases to 15,636.
Delhi reported more than 1,000 Covid-19 infections for the fourth day in a row with 1,011 people testing positive for the viral infection in 24 hours.
The nationwide vaccination touched 187.95 crore, with 22.83 lakh vaccinated in 24 hours. The daily positivity rate slipped to 0.55% and the weekly rate 0.58%.
The infections in the country stood at 4,30,62,569, though 4,25,23,311 of them recovered while 5,23,622 of them succumbed to death.
