NEW DElHI: The Congress on Monday urged the Prime Minister to break his silence on Manipur and rush an all-paarty delegation there. Congress general secretary and media in-charge Jairam Ramesh, addressed a press conference along with general secretary Mukul Wasnik, who was in Manipur last mnth and Manipur incharge Bhakta Charan Das said if the government can’t do anything, better take the democratic step of sending all parties t Manipal.
The trio said the government should respect the democracy by sending a team of all parties from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Jairam noted that President Murmu took this idea very seriously when the Congress delegaation met her, but who will go there if the Prime Minister does not go.
