NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday organised an hour-long 200-meter roadshow on the Parliament Street from Patel Chowk to the NDMC convention centre to honour Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a recent landslide victory of the party in the Gujarat Assembly polls.
Folk songs and traditional dances from more than a dozen states followed the road show, following which a 2-day national executive of the BJP began at the convention centre.
The executive focused on the Assembly polls in 10 states, with a formal extension of the national party president Jagat Prakash Nadda until the Lok Sabha elections the next year.
It will chalk out strategy for the poll-bound states. The party’s cenral office-bearers on Sunday gave a final touch to the agenda of the executive.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will wind up the 2-day meet on Tuesday, giving his “victory mantra” to the party leaders.
