NEW DELHI: Delhi High Court on Tuesday issued notices in the 2020 EastDelhi riot cases to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, her children Rahul and Priyanka and Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur and many others, including Aap leaders, for allegedly instigating violence by making the hate speeches.
The notices were issued by a divisional bench of Justices Siddharth Mrudul and Rajneesh Bhatnagar. The judges said these leaders were not the accused but they were issued notices since their replies are sought since they are charged as the accused.
The next hearing is fixed on April 29 to hear their pleas.
