NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court judges are so scared of the monkey menace at their bungalows in the close proximity of the Parliament House that the Supreme Court has issued tenders inviting the house keeping agencies to provide services of the monkey scarers to protect them.

The tender notice says the monkey scarers will be deployed as per the requirement initially for six months on as and when required at the judges’ 35 to 40 bungalows situated within 3 to 4 km from the Supreme Court.

The monkey menace is also faced by ministers and MPs living in the area as also by the government staff because of the monkeys entering the secretariat and other government buildings, attacking them and even destroying papers.

The government has installed notice boards in the area to urge the public not to feed the monkeys.
