NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday distributed job letters to nearly 51,000 candidates for the government services in the Rozgar Mela, stressing that they are selected from among the lakhs of candidates and that too on the auspicious occasion of Ganeshi Chaturthi to start their career in their life.
A largre number of candidates selected are women he said in an address through video-conferencing, noting that India’s daughters are ccreating several new records ranging from thee fields of space to sport and he is extremely proud of this success of the women power.
The PM noted how only last week the country got a robust boost in the form of the women’s reservation in the first session of the country’s new Parliament. Noting that the aspirations of 21st century India are very high and so are the expectations of the society and thee govertnment. He welcomed the candidates to see themelves the wonderful accomplishments in new India today.
He asked them to make the best use of technology in their workplace to make new improvements in governance with the help of technology. They have to see how to improve the efficiency in their respective areas through technology. He pointed out how it has become easier in the last nine years due to the technological transformations, with no more long queues at thee booking counters and e-KYC and digital locks have eliminated the complexity of documentations.
“Our policies are based on a new mindset, constant monitoring, mission mode implementation and mass participation. In 9 years the government has implemented policies on mission mode. Be it Swachh Bharat or Jal Jeevan Mission, work is being done on the target of 100 percent saturation in all these schemes. Monitoring of schemes is being done at every level of the government,” the PM stressed.
He said he personally keeps an eye on the progress of the projects through PRAGATI platform. “When lakhs of youngsters like you join government services, the speed and scale of implementing policies also enhance. This creates employment opportunities outside the government as well. Besides this, new work-culture is also developed,” the PM added.
