RAHUL CONDEMNS FORCIBLE RECOVERY OF RS 20 FOR A TRICOLOUR

NEW DELHI: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday condemned as shameful the recovery of Rs 20 by force from the poor for the Tricolour to get the ration.

“Tricolour is our pride. It rests in every heart. Nationalism can’t be sold. The BJP government is attacking the self-respect of the poor by forcing them to buy the Tricolour,” he said in a Facebook post.

PRIYANKA: Meanwhile, Covid-19 has hit AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi once again. In a tweet on Wednesday, she said: “Tested positive today. Will be isolating at home and following all protocols.”

Rahul’s reaction was on the people going to the ration shops to buy the ration were turned away in the BJP-ruled unless they also buy the Tricolour costing Rs 20. The ration shop owners said they had been mandated to sell the Tricolour and refuse the ration who do not buy it.
