NEW DELHI: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday called on President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan here as a courtesy visit and presented her a bouquet of flowers.
This as her first visit since after Murmu was elected as the President. As soon as the doctors declared Sonia free from the Covid-19 infection, she opted to meet Murmu and greet her that she could not do earlier on Murmu’s election as the President of India.
A tweet run by the President’s Secretariat said, “President, Indian National Congress Sonia Gandhi called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.”
