BIDHURI, DANISH ALI FACE PRIVILEGE PANEL ON TUESDAY

NEW DELHI: The first meeting of the Lok Sabha’s privilege committee will meet on October 10 to hear a dispute involving BJP member Ramesh Bidhuri and BSP MP Danish Ali.

Sources said it will hear Bidhuri over the complaints received against him after he use derogatory words against Ali in the House. It will also hear out Ali over his alleged improper conduct during the discussion on Chandrayaan 3.

Speaker Om Birla has sent all the complaints he received from the MPs to the privilege committee headed by BJP member Sunil Kumar Singh.

The BJP has also issued a showcause notice to Bidhuri in response to his comments which he is yet to respond. However, the party after the episode handed to Bidhuri with a poll resposibility in Rajasthan. This led to the opposition parties, which demanded suspension of Bidhuri, said the BJP was trying to defend its South Delhi MP instead of punishing him.
