PAWAR: SEAT SHARING ONLY IN LOK SABHA POLLS

NEW DELHI: Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar has suggested that the INDIA bloc parties should contest the Assembly polls separately and the Lok Sabha elections together by sharing the seats to resolve the differences.

His suggestion came at an extended working committee of the party on Thursday, a day before the Election Commission hears the rival faction of his nephew Ajit Pawar on Friday. He told the gathering not to worry about the party symbol as he had contested on five symbols so far and won all the time.

“I first contested on the symbol of a pair of bullocks carrying a hoke, then on a spinning wheel, a cow and cow, the hand and lastly on NCP symbol of clock. Every time, people gave me their blessings. The common people of this country are smart enough….So, no need to worry. People’s hearts don’t change with the change of the election symbol,” he said.
