NEW DELHI: India on Tuesday reported a slidedown of the Covid-19 infections to 2,568 from 3,157 a day earlier while there were 5 deaths during the day, three of them in Punjab and 1 each in Maharashtra and Mizoram. The Health Ministry also reported 15 past demises in Kerala.
The total infections in the country touched 4,30,84,913, though 4,25,41,887 of them have recovered while 5,23,889 succumbed to death. The active cases dipped to 19,137.
The nationwide vaccination touched 189.41 crore, with as many as 16.23 lakh people administered the vaccine doses in the last one day.
