NEW DELHI: India is resuming the scheduled international commercial passenger flights to/from India from March 27.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) that controls all flight in India on Tuesday announced it is ending the suspension of the flights effected since March 23, 2020 because of Covid-19.

It said the suspension stands extended only up to 2359 hrs IST on 26.03.2022 and air bubble arrangements shall be extended only to this extent. This is after having recognised the increased vaccination coverage across the globe and in consultation with the stakeholders.

The international operations shall be subject to strict adherence to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare guidelines for international travel dated 10.02.2022 and as amended from time to time, the announcement added.

The announcement negates February 28 circular suspending the flights to/from India till further orders.
