MARWARI AWARD TO PUNJAB KESARI PUBLISHER VIJAY CHOPRA ON MONDAY

NEW DELHI: The Nagpur-based Marwari Foundation is awarding here on Monday evening this year’s Late Prabodhankar Thakre Samaj Memorial annual award for social services to the 90-year old Vijay Kumar Chopra, Chief Editor of Hindi daily Punjab Kesari from Jalandhar and publisher of Hind Samachar Group of Newspapers since 1984.

He will be presented the award, which comprises cash award of Rs 1 lakh, shawl and a memento, by Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari as the chief guest while others to address the gathering are Rajiv Khandekar, Executive Vice-president of ABP Network Channel and Chief Editor of ABP Maza (Marathi) and ABP News and Union Minister Narayanrao Rane.

Former MP Ajay Sancheti will preside over the function to be held at the Maharashtra Sadan on the Kasturba Gandhi Marg.
