NEW DELHI/MAIN DESH NAHI BIKNE DOONGA : MODI SOLD 23 PSU’s ,ALONE PM WHO SETTING UP NO GOVT COMPANY:

     NEW DELHI/From Our Beureo

Prime Minister Modi’s slogan in 2014 elections “not to sell the nation” (Desh nahi bikne doonga) has been belied in his own government’s reply, noting that he had sold out the highest 23 public sector undertakings (PSUs) during his tenure while the only two other PMs doing so were Atal Behari Vajpayee (7) and Dr Manmohan Singh (3).

The RTI (Right to Information) reply shows Modi is the only PM not establishing a single PSU while 11 other prime ministers increasing the number of the PSUs in the country. Even Vajpayee is credited with establishment of 17 PSUs.

The PSUs set up during other prime Ministers are: Jawaharlal Nehru (33), Lal Bahadur Shastri (5), Indira Gandhi (66), Morarji Desai (9), Rajiv Gandhi (16), VP Singh (2), P V Narasimha Rao (14), HD Devegowda & Inder Kumar Gujaral (3) and Dr Manmohan Singh (23).

The economists treat the PSUs as wealth of the nation, but Narendra Modi thinks otherwise as he believes in selling them to the private corporate world, the latest being national carrier Air India sold to Tatas.
