NEW DELHI: India on Wednesday reported only two Coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours, one each in Delhi and Maharashtra, though the health ministry reported the death tally of 31 on account of 29 demises in Kerala on the previous days.
There was again a spurt in the Covid-19 infections as India reported 3,205 new cases, taking the Coronavirus tally to 4,30,80,116, out of which 5,23,921 succumbed to death.
The active Covid-19 cases increased by 372 to record 19,509. The nationwide vaccination increased to 189.48 crore, with 4.79 lakh vaccine doses imparted in the past 24 hours. India’s daily positivity rate is 0.98% and the weekly rate 0.78%.
Delhi recorded 1,414 infections in the past 24 hours, with the daily positivity rate rising to 5.97%. According to Delhi government, only 183 people suffering from Covid-19 are hospitalised while another 4,389 people are recuperating in home isolation.
