NEW DELHI: The Congress on Thursday slammed Prime Minister Modi for uttering not a single word of condolences on the Poonch terror attack on April 20 in which five Indian Army soldiers were killed because of his new love for Taliban helping the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir

PM Modi has not come out with any reaction condemning the terror attack, even as reports indicate a Taliban link in the same, Congress spokesman Pawan Khera told a Press conference here.

He said an Indian Army vehicle moving from Bhimber Gali to Sangiot, near the Bhata Dhurian forest area which remains a notorious infiltration route for terrorists in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The vehicle was attacked by possibly 6-7 terrorists, 5 soldiers were martyred on the spot. Over 50 bullet marks were spotted on the vehicle that shows intensity of the firing by terrorists.

Given that the Poonch attack has Taliban links, he asked whether it is appropriate for Modi Govt to start its diplomatic outreach and engagement with Taliban?

Is it not true that Modi Govt has endangered our National Security, even as 1,249 terror attacks in J&K, in which, 350 civilians and died and 569 Jawans have been martyred, Khera asked.
