NEW DELHI: TV diva Archana Gautam, who joined the Congress in 2021, was recently pushed and beaten up by a group of people when she tried to enter the AICC headquarters here to congratulate Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on the passing of the women’s reservation bill in Parliament.
A video clip on the social media features her father lying on the road helplessly and she crying for help and water. Those manning the security at the AICC Hq denied the knowledge of any such incident.
As soon as the video of this disconcentrating incident went viral, netizens rushed to the comment section to drop their opinions. Reacting to the video, one user wrote, “That’s so sad.” Another user took to the comment section and wrote, “Nobody deserves to be maltreated. How difficult is it to be human? Finding happiness in someone getting beaten up shows you’re no different.” A third comment can be read as “This is really Heartbreaking.”
Archana had started her political career in 2021 by joining the Congress and unsuccessfully contested the Hastinapur Assembly election in Uttar Pradesh. She continues to attend the Congress rallies and meetings. The diva stepped back from political work to embark on her journey in the entertainment world. In several interviews and meetings, the actress has indicated multiple times that she wants to return to politics and become a successful politician.
