2 NEW MEDICAL COLLEGES IN ALWAR & NAGAUR IN RAJASTHAN

NEW DELHI: Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya and Rajastghan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday virtually laid foundation stones of two new medical colleges in Alwar and Nagaur.

“This would not only expedite bringing affordable healthcare facilities to the doorsteps of people but will also give impetus to medical education,” Mandaviya said. He said these two medical colleges are being established as part of Prime Minister Modi’s vision to have a medical college in every district of the country.

He said Rajasthan gets 23 medical colleges in three phases, out of which 7 already completed while one medical college is being set up in the second phase and 15 in the third phase, out of 75 medical colleges across the country.

Chief Minister Gehlot said his government is working with the Centre in implementing various welfare programmes crucial in improving the health metrics of the state.
