BJP DECLARES 16 CANDIDATES FOR RAJYA SABHA POLLS

NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday announced 16 candidates for the Rajya Sabha biennial polls on June 10, while repeating Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman from Karnataka and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal from Maharashtra.

Its second candidate in Maharashtra is Dr Anil Sukhdevrao Bonde while it has picked up Ghanshyam Tiwari from Rajasthan and Ms Kavita Patidar from Madhya Pradesh. Its second candidate in Karnataka is Jaggesh.

Six candidates selected from Uttar Pradesh are Dr Laxmikant Vajpayee, Dr Radhamohan Aggarwal, Surender Singh Nagar, Baburam Nishad, Mrs Darshana Singh, and Mrs Sangeeta Yadav. Its candidate from Uttarakhand is Mrs Dr Kalpana Saini.

In Bihar, it chose two candidates: Satish Chandra Dubey and Shambhu Shaaran Patel while Krishan Lal Panwar is picked up from Haryana.
