Congress general secretaries Ajay Maken and Randeep Singh Surjewala released the booklet “8 Saal, 8 Chhal, Bhajpa Sarkar vifal” (8 years, 8 cheatings, failure of BJP govt) and asserted that the Modi government is trying to cover up its failure on every front through advertisements and the BJP raising fake issues.
They recalled Modi promising “Achchhe din” (good days) for coming to power, but the people have now realised that it was not a song for them as their life continues to worsen under his government. The Congress booklet has done a valuation of the Modi Raj, they said. It narrates how the people have been cheated on every front.
Countering the slogans Modi cooks up to hypnotise the people, the two Congress leaders said they can sum up performance of the government with a slogan on plight of the people: “8 Saal, Desh Behaal.” They said: “It’s 8 years of misgovernance, 8 years of misery.”
