NEW DELHI: The Congress on Thursday questioned the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the government remaining silent adn unmoved by the barbarities as “atrocities on the Kashmiri Pandits are nowhere near the end.”
“If the government of the country can’t take actions, they must tell the reason why,” the Congress tweeted.
“Why are those promoting films (The Kashmir Files) on the plight of Kashmiri Pandits silent on the atrocities they face everyday,” the Congress asked.
It said today both Kashmir and Kashmiriyat are in danger. Nobody knows where the BJP has vanished, a party that played politics for years in the name of Kashmir. Terrorists no more fear in Kashmir as they are killing employees, entering Tehsil offices and banks. Why are they so emboldened, the Congress asked.
It said the daily killings have exposed the conspiracy hatched by the Prime Minister to cover up pain of the Kashmiri pandits through the propaganda movie he promoted. But the reality is now out as increasing attacks on Kashmir pandits are taking place. “The nation asks the Prime Minister, when will you provide security to the Kashmir pandits.”
PM Modi is quite vocal on the film “The Kashmir Files,” but maintains a silence on the pain to the Kashmiri Pandits on the ground, the Congress said in another tweet, asking why so, why nobody taking responsibility on the attacks and killings of the Kashmiri pandits in the Kashmir valley. Why silence on “Haal-e-Kashmir” in the last 5 months?
In yet another tweet, the Congress said: “When the country needed them at the arrival of a pandemic, they were busy welcoming Trump. Now when Kashmir needs them, they’re busy celebrating 8 years of their misrule.”
