Under the ‘Chief Minister Tirath Yatra Scheme’ launched by the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Jai Krishan Singh Rouri today flag off the
AC Volvo bus was depart from Garhshankar for the devotees to visit Mata Naina Devi, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Mata Chintpurni and Mata Jwala Devi was flagged off from garhshankar.

Deputy Speaker Rouri said that with the launch of this scheme, the people of Punjab will get the opportunity . He said that the Punjab Government will bear the expenses of the passengers traveling under this scheme, which includes all the expenses of their travel, accommodation and food. He said that Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken care of every small and big need of the common people of the state.

The Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly said that under this scheme people are being made to travel to various pilgrimage sites. He said that similarly as per the plan, buses of devotees will continue to leave to visit various pilgrimage sites. Congratulating the pilgrims, he said that the Chief Minister Teerth Yatra Scheme is proving to be a boon for those people who are deprived of visiting the major religious places of Punjab and India due to increasing age and financial constraints. He said that a budget of Rs 40 crore has been kept for this special scheme of the state government during the financial year 2023-24.
