NEW DELHI: Congress President Sonia Gandhi will be travelling abroad, with her both children, for the medical check-ups, Congress general secretary and chief spokesman Jairam Ramesh announced in a statement issued Tuesday midnight.
He said she will also visit her ailing mother before returning to Delhi. She has just recovered from a Cpvid-19 bout.
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be travelling with her. Rahul will, however, return to address the Congress Mahangai Par Hulla Boll rally at the Ramlila Grounds here on September 4. It is not clear whether he will also lead the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari on September 7.
