NEW DELHI: Much to the embarrassment of Union Minister Smriti Irani, beef dishes are being served in her daughter’s Silly Souls Cafe and Bar in Assagaon village in Goa.
Its menu card in circulation on the social media speaks high of its beef tongue and pork dishes.
The minister had denied her daughter’s role in running the bar when the controversy was raked up last week through a RTI inquiry on illegal licence granted to it and yet the Congress leaders want to know how the beef dishes are on the menu in contravention to her party, BJP, opposed to the cow slaughter.
Beef is not banned in Goa as it is sold in many restaurants across the state and so the minister may take recourse to point out that nothing illegal in selling beef dishes.
