NEW DELHI: Outgoing President Ram Nath Kovind will be the neighbour of Congress President Sonia Gandhi as he has been allotted government bungalow No 12 at Janpath which was occupied for over two decades till his death by late Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
NEW DELHI: Outgoing President Ram Nath Kovind will be the neighbour of Congress President Sonia Gandhi as he has been allotted government bungalow No 12 at Janpath which was occupied for over two decades till his death by late Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
The Union Cabinet has allotted this bungalow to him and Kovind’s daughter is overseeing the massive renovation being carried out before he moves in after relinquishing the position on July 24.
As a courtesy, Prime Minister Modi will accompany Kovind from Rashtrapati Bhawan to his new accommodation on July 25. Sources said the Prime Minister asked Home Minister Amit Shah to convey to Kovind in early April that the BJP is looking for his successor.
