NEWDELHI: At 14,506, India on Wednesday saw 23% rise in the daily Covid-19 cases while 18 succumbed to death in the past 24 hours.
The Health Ministry reported 30 deathhs in a day, taking into account reconcilation of 12 old deaths in Kerala. Maharashtra topped in terms of 5 deaths in 25 hours, followed by 4 in Delhi, 3 in Goa, 2 in Bihar and 1 each in Karnata, Punjab, Rajasthan and UP. Cumulative deaths in the country reached 5,25,073 while 4,28,08,666 recovered.
The active case load further went up to 99,602 while the national vaccination stood at 197.46 on account of 13.44 lakh vaccine doses given in 24 hours.
