NEW DELHI: Foreigners living in the war-torn Ukraine have options to return to their countries, but the Ukrainians have no such options, says Swetlana living in Pali town of Rajasthan since 2003.
She says among those having no option include her mother Nellia (70) and elder sister Laria (50) living in Vinesta town of Ukraine. She is married to Dr Akhilesh Purohit, who had done his MBBS from Ukraine.
Swetlana says her mother and sister are living in a home close to the bombing site and managing with whatever food items are stored there. She said she can only pray for them.
Some days ago, she had asked them to take a flight to India as the flights were continuing at that time, but her mother refused to leave the homeland. According to her last call to mother, lakhs of people have become refugees in Ukraine.
