NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday dubbed the recent Opposition conclave in Patna as a gang-up of those involved in scams and corruption of Rs 20 lakh crore.

Even if by mistake Rahul Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister, India will have the history of scams and corruption, but all these would be behind the bars if Narendra Modi returns as the PM, he said in a public rally at Udaipur. He said a countdown has begun for the Ashok Gehlot government to go as the BJP is going to have a record victory in both the Rajasthan Assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

Shah said the people of Rajasthan have already decided not to vote for one who worked for own son but vote for the BJP which works for the country.

On Chief Minister Gehlot accusing him of falsely crediting NIA for arrest of the two killers of Kanhaiyalal in 2022, Shah accused him of a lie that no chargesheet has been filed in the case. He said the charge-sheet was filed on December 22, 2022 but the case could not progress since the Gehlot government did not set up a special court that would have pronounced death to the two culprits.

Shah claimed the only purpose of Sonia Gandhi is to make her son Rahul the PM while Lalu Prasad’s goal is to mke his son Tejaswi Yadav the CM, Mamata Bannerji’ss goal i to make her nephew Abhishek the CM, Stalin trying to make his son Udaynidhi as the Chief Minister while Ashok Gehlot is working to make his son Vaibhav the CM.

The Home Minister noted that the Gehlot government is on the top in the survey of corruption. In mining work, the corruption amassed Rs 66,000 crore because of which a saint gave his sacrifice. He said the Gehlot government has broken all records of corruption as seen from the scams in Udaysagar Jheel, Pratapgarh Limestone Mine and Kali Sindh dam. He said Gehlot has to answer about Rs 2 crore and a kilo of gold recovered from an almirah of the officers in the Rajasthan secretariat.

He also lambasted the Gehlot government because of release of all those involved in the killing of 50 in Jaipur bomb blast in 2,000.
