He had tendered resignation to the state president only on Sunday.

“Keep the party on your head as long as it neeces, make sense and forget. BJP did the same with late PM Atal Behari Vajpayee’s niece and MLA Karuna Shukla just before the 2018 Assembly elections. Today, the history is repeated in Chhattisgarh,” said Sai.

The BJP is already facing a leadership crisis in the state where the backward class is a big supporter of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Sai is a big tribal name in the state.

Of course, health minister T S Singh Deo, a tribal leader will resent since Sai would overpower him as the rebel leader troubling Baghel all the time demanding to be made the chief minister.

The Congress will use Sai at the national level to show that the tribals and Dalits are Hindus only for use. Sai has been with the erstwhile Jan Sangh since inception and the tribals of the state respect him. He always worked worked in the interests of the tribal community and openly praised the work of the present Congress government.
