CONG CONTINUES SATYAGRAH AS ED GRILLS RAHUL

NEW DELHI: The Congress continued its protest ‘Satyagrah’ here on Tuesday against the Enforcement Directorate harassing its leader Rahul Gandhi with interrogations for the fifth day on the alleged money laundering in the National Herald case.

While many leaders opted to sit on ‘Satyagrah’ in the AICC headquarters complex, others venturing out to take out a march were arrested by police and lodged in different police stations of the national capital. The Congress releases names of the party leaders in two police stations.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot could be seen leading the Congress from teh front in its Satyagrah again on Tuesday. He is camping in Delhi since Sunday when the Congress offered Satyagrah at the Janpath here, expanding the protest against Rahul’s interrogations also to the Agnipath recruitment scheme for the Armed Force.

For instance, five Congress MPs — Benny Behhanan, Anto Anthony, Deepak Baij, Saptagiri Ulaka and Gaurav Gogoi — as also former union minister Bhakta Charan Das and Chhattisgarh minister Amarjeet Bhagat Minister were herded in a bus and lodged in the Narela police station in North Delhi on the border with Haryana.

Other group was taken to the Rajendra Nagar police station in West Delhi, unmindful of the Assembly by-election in the area on Thursday. Those lodged there included seven MPs — Ranjeet Ranjan, Amee Yajnik, Dr Chella Kumar, Santhok Singh, K Suresh, Kuldeep Rai Sharma and Dr Mohd Zavaid as also former MP Commando Kamal Kishore and AICC secretary Rudra Raju.
