NEW DELHI: In view of the Gujarat and Assembly elections this year-end, the Congress on Tuesday set up its screening committees to select its candidates.
Ramesh Chennithala of Kerala is chairman of the Gujarat committee with advocate Shivajirao Moghe and Jai Kishan as its members. The ex-officio members are: AICC in-charge Dr raghu Sharma of Rajasthan, PCC president Jagdish Thakor, CLP leader Sukhram Rathwa and AICC secretaries incharge of the state.
Former West Bengal MP Deepa Dasmunshi heads the Himachal screening committee with Umang Singhar and Dhiraj Gurjar as members. The ex-officio members are AICC in-charge Rajeev Shukla, PVV president Pratibha Singh, CLP leader Sukhvinder Sukhu and AICC secretaries in-charge of the state.
