NEW DELHI: The Covid-19 surge in India continues as fresh cases on Saturday in 24 hours ending at 8 am reached 3805, which is 7.3% more than the previous day, while the daily positivity touched 0.78%.
There were only two deaths in 24 hours, one each in Karnataka and West Bengal, though the Health Ministry reported the count of 22 deaths by adding 20 demises in Kerala on the previous days. The total death toll stands at 5,24,024, while the active caseload increased to 20,303.
The nationwide vaccination reached 190 crore in Saturday, with 17.49 lakh doses administered in 24 hours.
