NEW DELHI: Within two days of Congress President Sonia Gandhi appointing party MP Jairam Ramesh (68) as incharge of communication, publicity and media, including social and digital media, replacing Randeep Singh Surjewala, MP from Rajasthan, Pawan Khera (53) has been made the chairman of media and publicity in the new communication department.
Hailing from Delhi, Khera was earlier one of the spokespersons in the Surjewala dispensation. He was quite upset on denial of a Rajya Sabha seat in the recent elections. He was the political secretary of late Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
