OPPOSITION WALK OUT OVER NHRC’S PARTIALITY

NEW DELHI: The entire Opposition on Tuesday walked out from the Rajya Sabha, protesting that the National Human Rights Commission for its partiality in visiting only the opposition-ruled states for investigation, skipping the BJP-government Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.

Dola Sen of Trinamul Congress raised the issue during a zero hour submission that the NHRC visits Bihar and Bengal, but not the states ruled by the ruling BJP. All opposition parties chose to stage a walkout on her call.
