NEW DELHI: India is witnessing continuous rise of the Covid-19 cases. The daily infections rose to 2,451 on Friday as against 2,380 a day earlier while the active cases are up to 14,241 against 13,433 on Thursday and one death each in six states of Delhi, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand as per the official data of the health ministry. Kerala also accounted for 48 past demises.

Total Covid-19 cases in the country rose to 4,30,52,425, out of which 4,25,16,068 while 5,22,116 succumbed to death. The nationwide cumulative vaccination touched 187.26 crore with 18.03 vaccine doses administered in the past 24 hours.
The active cases stand at 0.03% of the total infections and the recovery rate stood at 98.74% whereas 1,589 recovered in the last 24 hours. Daily positivity rate remains 0.55% whereas the weekly rate is 0.47%.
