NEW DELHI: For the second day on Tuesday, India witnessed a fall in the fresh Covid-19 cases from 16,935 on Monday to 15,528 while the related daily deaths also dropped to 25 from 51 on Monday.
West Bengal topped with the highest 1,449 fresh cases and six deaths in 24 hour, followed by 3 in Assam, 2 each in Delhi, Punjab and Bihar and 1 each in Goa, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh.
The total active cases also declined to 1,43,654, a drop of 610 cases almost after a month. The recoveries are also down to 4,31,13,623. The national vaccination’s tally went up to 200.33 crore, with 27.28 lakh vaccine doses imparted in 24 hours.
