KULDEEP BISHNOI JOINS BJP WITH WIFE RENUKA

NEW DELHI: Haryana Congress rebel Kuldeep Bishnoi (53) was on Thursday inducted into the Bharatiya Janata Party, along with his wife Renuka, by Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at the BJP headquarters here in the presence senior party leaders, including Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

He had resigned from the Haryana Assembly a day earlier as the four-term Congress MLA from Adampur in Hisar district. He brings to the BJP the political legacy of his father Bhajan Lal, a veteran Congress leader who remained the Haryana chief minister for 12 years. Kuldeep vowed to unite all Jat leaders in Haryana in support of the BJP.

Bishnoi announced that his son Bhvya Bishnoi will contest the by-election of the Adampur seat he has vacated. Bhajan Lal as also his wife, son and daghter-in-law have been winning the Adampur seat in the Assembly since 1968.
